2009 Pacific Swimming time standards
Whether you are a Pacific swimmer or parent or are visiting from outside our LSC, please be aware that Pacific Swimming's age group B and A meet entry time standards have changed significantly for 2009. We no longer use USA Swimming's National Age Group (NAG) Motivational B and A times as our basic meet entry time standards. Instead, we have created our own B and A meet entry standards. When you look at meet information sheets on this website, you should assume that the B and A time standards (which we label PC-B and and PC-A) are the new Pacific standards. For more information, follow this link to our 2009 age group time standards charts.
Also for your information, Pacific's other age group meet entry time standards -- Junior Olympic (JO) and Far Western (Q) times -- include some changes for 2009 but are mostly consistent with the 2008 JO and Q times.

Here's some information related to our meet schedule:
|
Above is the complete Pacific schedule through December 2009. You
can also follow this link to the
complete 2009 Pacific meet schedule (Jan. 2009-Jan. 2010) in PDF format,
as shown in the 2009 Pacific Swim Guide. The PDF version of the schedule
includes more detail on meet venues and contacts than you'll find above. The
PDF version does not, however, reflect any additions, corrections,
and changes to the schedule made since the swim guide went to press in
December 2008, nor does it include any updates to the current status of a
meet, or links to meet information sheets.
Please note that that meets may be cancelled or added to the
schedule, or that meet dates or locations or meet hosts may change, usually
well in advance of the original date of the meet, but sometimes with little
notice. Changes to the 2009 swim guide schedule
that are brought to our attention are noted above in this
color. If you are making reservations for an overnight stay
or are travelling a long distance to a meet, you may want to reconfirm dates
with the host club.
Age group meets with an entry cap frequently fill up, often well before the entry deadline. We will post notification of a meet being full on this page and on our home page if the host club makes us aware of it. If a meet you've entered fills up and your mail entry is not accepted, the host club will attempt to notify you prior to the meet, either through your coach or directly, and the check for your entry fee will be returned.
If you want background about the classes of meets we offer, our FAQs page will give you more detail on the meets offered through our age group program and through our senior program. You can also follow this link for detail on our time standards.
For the dates of major national and international meets for the next couple of years, both in the U.S. and abroad, check out this schedule from the USA Swimming web site.
If you are coming to one of our meets from outside Pacific Swimming, we would strongly urge you to review our Safety Guidelines and Warmup Procedures. Please be aware that during warmups, any use of sprint lanes for practicing race starts, or use of push/pace lanes, must be under the direct supervision of a coach, and that diving into the pool is only permitted while practicing race starts in a designated sprint lane under the direct supervision of a coach. We'd also encourage you to check out our Visitors page for
ideas on where to stay and what to do while you're here.
