The following camps have been announced by Pacific Swimming for 2008. Additional
information regarding the camps will be posted when it is available.
Olympic Training Center Distance Camp
Twenty–four swimmers will be selected at the Pacific Swimming Senior Championship
meet in Pleasant Hill, California, on December 7 through 9, 2007. The camp will be held in Colorado
Springs, Colorado at the Olympic Training Center in January. Participants must be 13-18 years
old as of the first day of the camp. To apply, the athlete must compete at the Pacific Swimming
Senior Championship meet.
11-12 AA+ Motivational Camp
Forty-eight swimmers will be selected from the Short Course Junior Olympic Championship
Meet held in Pacifica California on November 30 through December 2, 2007. The camp will be held in
Pacifica at the Oceana Swimming Complex on February 16-17. Participants must be 11-12 years
old as of the final day of competition at the meet. To apply, the athlete must compete at the
Pacific Swimming Short Course Junior Olympic Championship Meet.
 Adam Szmidt Memorial Camp for 10 & Unders
Forty-eight swimmers will be selected at the Pacific Swimming Short Course Far Westerns
Championship Meet on April 3 thru 6 in Pleasanton, California. Participants must be no more
than 10 years old as of the final day of competition at the meet. The camp will be held in
Sunnyvale, California on April 27. To apply, the athlete must compete at Short Course Far
Westerns.
Junior Leadership Camp for 13/18-year-olds
Sixty swimmers will be selected at the Adam Szmidt Memorial Pacific Swimming Junior
Olympics Championship Meet in Concord California on July 10 thru 13. Participants must be 13-
18 years old as of the final day of competition at the selection meet. The Camp will be held in
San Jose, California in August 2008. To apply, the athlete must compete at the selection meet.
North Coast Zone 3 Camp
Forty-Eight swimmers will be selected off a swim meet held in the North Coast area of
Zone 3. Participants must be 9-16 years old as of the first day of the camp. To apply, the athlete
must compete in the selection meet and be a member of a Pacific Swimming club located in the
North Coast area of Zone 3.
Zone 4 Stars and Future Stars Camp
The Zone 4 Stars and Future Stars Camp is open to swimmers from Zone 4 clubs. The
date and location will be announced at a later time.
