February 9, 2017 - Officials' Opportunity for Qualification

March 16-19, 2017, is the 2017 South Western Age Group Regional Meet (SWAGR) at the Roseville Aquatic Complex. This is a Thursday afternoon through Sunday meet, with Friday through Sunday for 14 and under swimmers. The 1650 yard freestyles on Thursday, will be for 11-14 year old swimmers only. This meet will be an Officials Qualifying Meet, in that there will be Evaluators, in regards to mentoring Officials, so they might be able to advance to N2 or N3 certifications. Since this is an Officials Qualifying Meet, we require that all Officials wanting to officiate, to apply to work, by filling out the attached document, Application to Officiate.  You have to be a certified Official to work this meet.  No deck training at this meet.

Send both documents to Bill Rose, the Meet Referee. Dana Covington will be the Team Lead Chief Judge, assigning all Stroke and Turn Judges to their positions on deck.
Accepted applicants must attend mandatory Official's Briefings, which will be held one hour prior to the start of each preliminary and final session. Expected Official's attire for the meet:  white polo shirt, navy blue shorts, skirts or long navy blue pants for all preliminary sessions. White polo shirt and navy blue long pants or skirts for all final sessions. White tennis shoes are to be worn for all sessions.
Applications for the assigned positions of Chief Judge, Starter and Deck Referee must be received no later than Monday, March 6, 2017.  Notification of assigned positions will hopefully be sent by Friday, March 10, 2017. All other applications must be received no later than Monday, March 13, 2017.
