Leadership Camp for 13-18 Year Olds

Pacific Swimming will be hosting a Leadership Camp for our 11-18 year old athletes on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Vallejo, CA.

Athlete Qualifications: All athlete must be between the ages of 11 and 18 years old on the day of the camp.

First priority will be given to designated Team Athlete Representatives. Team Athlete Reps are those who have been selected by their Head Coach and have submitted their Athlete Rep form to Pacific Swimming.

Second priority will be given to the first 5 athletes that sign up from each team in Pacific Swimming. Athletes who are not designated Team Athlete Representatives must also have achieve a BB time standards in a minimum of 3 events no earlier than September 1, 2019.

All athletes are expected to come prepared to fully participate in both swim and dryland activities. If there is an injury that will prevent your full participation in the event, we ask that you inform us of the injury in advance of the camp.

Camp Capacity: 60 athlete. If the camp is not filled by Athlete Representatives and the first 5 applicants from each team, the remaining spaces will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.

This camp will include on land session on Safe Sport, DDEI, Sports Psychology, Dryland and Team Culture, and in-water sessions in which the athlete will apply their teamwork and leadership skills through racing and team challenges.

Olympic Training Center Distance Camp

The 2022 OTC Camp may not be held due to COVID restrictions at the Olympic Training Center.

Previous Camp Qualitifiations:

In order to considered, athletes must be between 13-18 years old on the first day of the camp. Pacific Swimming will select 24 athletes (12 female/12 male) to attend the camp. Athletes will be selected based on the following criteria, in the following order:

1st Priority: Top 2 Applicants (Male and Female) in the 1500m/1650y Free based on USA Swimming Power Points

2nd Priority: Top 2 Applicants (Male and Female) in the 800m/1000y Free based on USA Swimming Power Points

3rd Priority: Top 2 Applicants (Male and Female) in the 400m/500y Free based on USA Swimming Power Points

4th Priority: Remaining Top 6 Applicants (Male and Female) based on USA Swimming IMX Scores

5th Priority: If the 12 roster spots (Male and Female) are not filled based on the above, the remaining spots will be filled by the applicant(s) with the highest USA Swimming Power Point scores in any of the following events: 1500m/1650y Free, 800m/1000y Free, 400m/500y Free, 400 IM, 200 Back, 200 Breast, 200 Fly

Only best times and single-season IMX scores from September 2018 through December 8, 2019 will be considered. Athletes must have competed in at least one of the following events: 200 Breast/Fly/Back, 400 IM, 500/400 Free, or longer Freestyle event.

Adam Szmidt Memorial Camp for 10 & Unders

The annual Adam Szmidt Memorial 10 & Under Swim Camp is traditionally held in the Spring. Look for this camp again in 2023!
