Just a few LSC updates for you as 2020 closes and we move into a new year!
Club Registration: Reminder - Club Registration Packets went out electronically this year.  If you did not receive your club renewal/registration packet yet, please contact Laurie Benton at to get this information sent to you.  For club registration to be processed prior to 2021, it must be received by December 15, 2020.  
Sanction Requests for January:  Any Sanction requests for January 8-10 or 15-17 must be completed prior to December 22.  Remember, to sanction a meet, your club must be in good standing, which requires that your club registration be current for 2021, along with your head coach, your meet director and your meet marshal.  Please be sure your key members have all their member requirements (APT, background check, etc) current!  
2021 Employer Law Updates:  Here's a blogpost from Sheppard Mullins Law Group for upcoming law changing that may impact you, including CFRA (California Family Rights Act) expansion that now extends to employers with 5 or more employees.  Click through HERE to read more about the changes coming next year.  Also, Sexual Harassment Training is mandatory for all employers with more than 5 employees by January 1, 2021 and must be completed at least every two years.  You can utilize the free (no cost to you or the employee) training available at the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.  TRAINING LINK 
California Small Business Relief: The state of California announced a package of assistance for small businesses impacted by COVID-19, including $500 million in grants.  While the program is being created, you can sign up HERE to receive updates when launched.  Please visit California's business page HERE for information on tax relief and recovery loans.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee Fundraiser:  This is the first fundraiser of its kind and our Silent Auction Committee, including eight very active Athlete Reps, has been working for months to bring together a fantastic list of auction items, including a swim lesson with five-time Olympic gold medalist Nathan Adrian, lots of Olympian autographed items, amazing tech and training suit deals, unique travel opportunities, local business gift cards, and so much more! New items are being added daily!
